free and open source software
Basically Tech advocates the use of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) whenever possible.
My aim is to provide cost-effective solutions to your IT requirements. Since Open Source software is usually freely available, you should only pay for your hardware and my time. No software purchases, no yearly license renewals, open standards so you aren't tied in to a single vendor, free upgrades and security patches. It makes you wonder why the other half actually pay for the privilege of all that hassle, doesn't it?
A Rhetorical Question
Some companies refuse to consider using Free and Open Source Software. What is it that they know about Open Source software that companies like Google and Amazon don't?
