about Basically Tech
My name is Rob Newcater, and I run Basically Tech. At heart, I am a perfectionist, and I love a challenge!
I have had twelve years experience in the IT industry, working for the UK Government, large national companies, and huge multi-national companies.
My primary focus is UNIX or UNIX-like operating systems such as Linux, Solaris, and OpenBSD.
I have extensive contacts within the IT industry, and can call on extra firepower for larger jobs if it is required. My contacts are known personally to me, and I know they can be relied upon to do a good job. I never use unknown contractors.
I am also an individual member of the Open Source Consortium.
